I didn't think there was anything wrong with the character models, and I thought that the voice acting was good (except for the "howdy y'all" American accents in Prague). The ending was inexcusable, though. I gave it a 7.
...not to be confused with Keira Knightley

Even then the temptation is strong However, I know what I like to play, and unfortunately Still Life is not really appealing to me. So, in defiance of my BAAGs ( see GB for explanation ), I will not be getting this game.

Try the demo before you write it off...

Status : Online | I liked it. I gave it an 8. A very interesting story and some good characters. Voice acting and dialogues were great half the time, vut the rest of the time you would talk to characters that talked like a poorly voiced cartoon. Puzzles were either inventory or mechanical, and were pretty mediocre.
It could've been much better if the company had more time and money to work on it .

I'd have liked to see that ending.

No ending. Some annoying trial-and-error puzzles (***Spoiler Warning***especially making gingerbread man >).

Status : Offline | I just finished this one last nigth and grew more and more dissatisfied with it as the game moved on. It started out really interesting, with an intriguing story and a cool main character. But things went wrong as far as gameplay is concerned. Sometimes the main character would just blatantly spill out what you had to do (in conversations, plenty of 'I'm going to X to do/ask Y), at other times you were completely left in the dark about which location to visit to trigger a cut scene that would progress the game. Very uneven! Apart from that, the game was extremely linear at times. You already knew what to do, but the game wouldn't let until you had something else first. There also wasn't that much to do, except for the usual get object A to get B to get C, and so one. The real brain teasers were sometimes so horribly integrated into the plot they merely seemed there to avoid the label interactive movie or to lengthen gameplay (idd, the awful cookies baking puzzle comes to mind, and I'll throw in the laser puzzle as well). The story provided some nice and unforseen twists at the start and the game started strongly on a narrative level, but soon turned sloppy, uneven and eventually evolved to a disappoining conclusion that had 'haha, you'll never see a sequel, gotcha sucker!' written all over it. And to conclude the negative points, I also disliked the interface, where you first had to place your character on a certain spot, hope for an icon to appear and could then highlight the object out of your inventory that you wanted to use, instead of the other way around (select object, click on place where you want to use that object). Still, on the plus side, the game had plenty of eye candy, filled from start to finish with gorgeous cut scenes that were highly cinematic and some of the best I've seen in an adventure game, in any game for that matter. The music was another big plus, always fitting the occasion and location perfectly. As far as the voices are concerned, they were ok in my book. I've heard better, I've heard worse.
So, all in all, this game gets a 5/10 from me, mainly because of its uneven and disappointing gameplay.

Although Still Life had moments of brilliant and lovely Adventure gaming goodness, I found it to be a miserable game in general.

Ah, great minds think alike. 8-) Still Life did have an interesting story to tell, but had some serious gameplay issues. A missed opportunity really. :-/ That's probably what's most sad about it, it really did have the potential to be a great game, it just didn't happen.

I have voted three, I have only given this high a mark because the graphics are extremely pleasing and the storyline is actually quite intriguing. However and not to harp on but this games puzzles are few and far between and then quite simple, the objects to pick up and combine are so unimaginative (wow I made a cup of coffee) and pointless, the conversations are simply clicked through you have no control of any line of dialogue.

| Deleted User | Fun and atmospheric, though agree it was on the easy side. I guess I'm in the minority as for the ending though since IMO, thought it was okay. This game gets an 8 of 10 from me.
