Seeing Versailles like that was nice, but that's about it. The navigation was aweful, it used a 360 degrees navigation with the mouse, which meant that you had to be very accurate if you wanted to go forward instead of just spinning around. Not a fun way to play.
The puzzles were boring. One of them had you going back and forth about 4 times so someone could analyze a song you found. Just tedius. Another puzzle - I had several pieces of paper with me. One was blank, and putting it above a candle revealed a message. I put a different piece... "game over". Apparently my character is smart enough not to burn a blank piece of paper, but not smart enough not to burn an order from the king...
And then I learned there was a timed sequence at the end and decided that there is no reason to finish this game.
