I know I'm giving a lot of these games high ratings, but this was flippin' fantastic !
I actually thought the game was about finished when it suddenly 'morphed' ! Anyone whose played it will know what I mean when I say the 'smell' element was a great idea indeed ! Not much good if you're colourblind, though, I admit   :

(I'm noting the sudden appearance of the "Haven't played" qualifiers in these polls.... however, there is no "haven't played" option that works for me.... I haven't played the game, and I'm not sure if I want to or if I don't ......  That's not an option, however.)

You want to, with this one!
But I see what you mean. One "haven't played" should be enough.

is your goal to post about all my favorite adventures?! (well, except stupid invaders of course)... another 9!

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

9.  It's a very good and under-appreciated game, it was funny and interesting and it lasted a long time.  And the puzzles usually made sense this time round!  However it's a bit too talky and it had some bugs, and it won't work on XP

...not to be confused with Keira Knightley

It works fine on xp for me, and I didn't experience any bugs. I gave it a 9 as well - graphics, story, music (loved the vampire song
) and puzzles, especially the "colour-part" was innovative and fun. A lot of talking but it didn't bother me. However, sometimes you had to go everywhere to get one small comment from someone/find one clue, without any hints to what was missing, in order to move on - which was sometimes a bit frustrating.

I gave it a 9. Incredible characters, Great game with very good voice acting and a good plot. Puzzles are ok, just a little easy.

It's faults are the dark graphics, badly animated characters (character models were just bad...) and overall buggyness.

I want to play every game I haven't yet played!
Really. I don't know any exception. Just waiting for bargains for those real stinkers.

And I definitely want to play this one. Only...when? *sigh*

One of my all time favorite games, I couldn't wait to get back to this one when I left it for anything else.  Voices were excellent, graphics great, plot was fleshed out and interesting and enough elements of surprise (I, too, thought I was almost done with the game when I morphed) to keep me comming back for more.

Now that I played it, this gets a 9. I'm only not giving it a 10, because I never do that (as far as I remember).
This was very much fun to play, very funny and loong! Yeah, it's really quite a huge game. And almost everything gives a unique response, whether it's examining something or talking to someone about something (clue or inventory items).
The idea with those clues and what happens in the second part of the game...wow. Never seen a game full of fresh ideas as this one, actually.

I should give this a 10, really. Did I give GK3 a 10? Or Monkey Island 2? Or Broken Sword?
Hmm...

Deleted UserVery good game. Interesting story. Fantastic intro! Funny dialogues. Loved the inventive "smell" aspect, which proves that puzzles can be more creative than combining the right inventory objects, translating symbols and tinkering with devices.

But... dialogues became too long for my taste. Lost interest near the end of the game.
And Discworld Noir is a buggy little bastard. Lots of crashes. I even ran into a nasty dead end and had to replay a large part of the first episode. Ggrrr... >

I think of DN as the funniest game ever created, currently #8 in my Top 50. Even the manual was hilarious! It's one of the 10-15 games I'd give a solid 10, and that's what I did in this poll. I don't remember any bugs, but it's been a very long time since I played it so I could be wrong.
