Hm, I think that joke has been used in more than one film.
I think it's even in a Buffy (or was it Angel) episode. Now who used it first?

I'd have to go with Young Frankenstein.

You're right, Wim!  That movie has so many great lines, but I didn't want to pick one that was too obvious.  It's your turn.

"Where is the fountain that throws up these flowers in a ceaseless outbreak of ecstasy?"

Indeed, very funny film! Here's the next one (hm, is it just the two of us playing or are we just too good for the others?
):

- Look up idiot in the dictionary. You know what you'll find?
- A picture of me?
- No! The definition of idiot. Which you f***cking are!

lol, just noticed that the F word is still flipper burned by the forum filter.

I think it just gets forgotten because it's tucked away here near the bottom of the board.

The movie, if I remember correctly, is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Yeah, that's probably the reason. Too bad really, there was a time when there were various general trivia threads active. Too bad that time seems to have passed.  :-/

But your guess is correct! Very funny movie as well, one of the last year's best!

All right, try this one.

"Gentlemen, congratulations. You're everything we've come to expect from years of government training."

"Where is the fountain that throws up these flowers in a ceaseless outbreak of ecstasy?"

Men in Black! I think it was in the original, but it could be in the sequel too. I watched them back to back last year, so I'm not sure. (the original is much much better, that I do remember
)

I'm fairly sure it's the first one.

Isn't it from the bit where they are putting Will Smith through the tests with the military type guys
Dear Diary, My teenage angst bullsh*t now has a bodycount.

Yup, it's the first one.  I like it somewhat better than the second, too, although the bit with the aliens in the post office was a real hoot.

ok, time for a new one:

If ill, go to sickbay. If wounded, call a Corpsman. If dead, report to graves registration. If losing his mind, however, no standard solution exists.

That's from Jarhead and probably the only line in the movie without the "f" word.

"Where is the fountain that throws up these flowers in a ceaseless outbreak of ecstasy?"

Lol, there were that many F-words in it? I know there were a lot, but nothing can beat a Tarantino script.

Anyway, your guess is correct. I was nicely surprised by Jarhead. The movie contains suberb visuals, a good script and Jake Gyllenhaals performance was excellent!

Okay.  This one should be easy.

"Symmetrical book stacking. Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947."

"You're right, no human being would stack books like this."

"Where is the fountain that throws up these flowers in a ceaseless outbreak of ecstasy?"

You got it, Buni!  It's definitely a favorite of mine, too.  It's your turn to post a quote for us.

Maybe this one will do the trick!
From the same film:

Right you a***hole, I've got your daughter here, and I'm gonna send her back in pieces if... Oh, I'm sorry madam. No, I haven't got your daughter here, I've got someone else's. No, we're not married. Yes, I've read the same thing, it's very hard to find suitable young men these days. Well, I'm sure your daughter's very nice, in principle I've got no objection to meeting her.
