Hope this topic was not covered before but here goes..........

I was just wondering about what you would consider 'Wacky' adventure games. What I mean by that is that the game may be any or all of the following:

Bizarre In Concept, Zany In Presentation, Twisted in its sense of humour, or anything that may classify it as being deviant.

A few that I have that I would consider (IMO of course) would be:

1) Armed and Delirious

2) The Neverhood

3) Stupid Invaders

4) Y2K

Some may say the Monkey Island series and/or Beavis and Butthead but I was thinking more along the the lines of "Non Mainstream".

What are your thoughts?

i agree with armed and delirious being wacky and i haven't played neverhood and Y2K (but i think i should since i love this kind of stuff!)... Stupid Invaders was far from being funny though (imo)... it was, well, stupid... but i guess you could call it wacky... others that come to mind right now being REALLY wacky: UFOs (unbelievable!), Toonstruck, Sam & Max, Day Of The Tentacle... i am forgeting a lot i'm sure... as for Monkey Island i would consider it funny but not wacky

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Hmmm - Non mainstream...  Is there such a thing?  Maybe the original Colossal Cave Adventure and Zork...  Wait a minute - Panty Raider was kinda funny (but way over my head... *smirk*)

Other than that, I'd go for DOTT or the original LSL.  I'll be interested to see which titles come back.

What?

The Discworld series, Creature Crunch, the Monty Python games (don't know if they count as adventures: I haven't played them). Albatross!

I agree with The Neverhood.  I would also add The Quivering and Feeble Files and some of the Zork games.  I guess Alice An Interactive Museum could be thrown in as wacky in its own way. kay

I agree with 80% of the titles mentioned but you're forgeting Zak McKracken! Both weird and wacky...
Another one with wacky storyline and wacky puzzles: Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

Fongo said it first, but I would definitely say Bad Mojo too!  That was a great, wacky, original game.  Neverhood applies too.

Speaking of Zak McKracken, what about Rex Nebular?

Well, when the threads are getting a little boring a few of the oldies come to light again!

Besides the ones already mentioned, I'd add Tony Tough & the Night of the Roasted Moths & all three Discworld games.  All three are *very* wacky, occasionally a little sick, but fun
