I really enjoyed playing this game. Sorry you were disappointed that it was "just a bunch of still shots". It is clearly advertised (and one of it's drawing points is) that the game consists of 4500 photos. I found navigating around the island very immersive with so many beautiful pictures as well as ambient sounds. It was advertised as Myst-like navigation because it is in a similar slideshow format.
I highly recommend this game! The puzzles are very clever and the plot is quite novel. I played it through twice!
Still adventuring after all these years!
Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...
... and Asylum if it's not tooooo scary...

| Deleted User | I agree to a point that it is clearly advertized, if you fully research it, and I didn't. After further investigation online, I released I myself didn't do the full research. It was an impulse purchased based on the cover art (which was not 'photographic') and the reference to Myst, which is clearly misleading.
However, even if I'd read the "A" review first, I would have been dissappointed in the game play, navigation, graphic, and UI-centic wise. It's really pretty clunky.
It really isn't a very good "game", certainly not a "A" adventure game (as reviewed on this JA site), compared to everything else in the genre. Certainly the "graphics" compare not a whit.
I've been to Italy and I love world travel. But I expect adventure games with such a high rating to, well, measure up. This is little more than a promotional tour with light-weight puzzles. If I plan a trip to Capri, I may start it back up.
This doesn't, my opinion measure up as an "adventure game". That's just my take. YMMV.

Status : Online | I just got around to playing this game. Way too confusing even with a walkthrough. It's so hard to tell where you are. I know, there's a map. However, the locations aren't easily marked. I found myself straining to read the street signs. I have moved on to other games for now.
I wanted to like this game, but not the hassle.

Adventure Dog, I can't agree more. I really enjoyed this game too. I don't understand why NotASpek is so disappointed. ??? The story was very fresh, the puzzles intriguing and the pictures breathtaking. NotASpek, I think you stopped playing this game too early. Once you get used to the map system and you get done with the first puzzles, the game becomes very entertaining.
I have played it twice too!! Can't wait for Anacapri the Dream.
