Status : Online | It's tops on my ‘to buy’ list. Now I just need to find it. It was supposedly release in the US last week or something but I've been checking all my local stores and cannot find RTMI nor Wanted. Of course there are no shortages of Atlantis Evolution which I may or may not buy even once it hits the bargain bin.  oes anyone have any idea on why the lack of distribution of this game so far?!? TAC is usually so good about having their games all over my local stores. ...bysmitty

TAC should have put all the marketing money they waste on Atlantis Evolution into Return to Mysterious island. What an original, great and beautiful game, definately worth my 20$. Go buy it!
I was a little lost at first with all the inventory items but once I made the battery, there was enough hints to never get stuck and Jep, our little Monkey companion is really helpful. The graphics are Myst IV beautiful, I'm looking forward to Kheops studio next game.
Return to mysterious island is the surprise of 2004! Thanks, I've been waiting for some opinions about this game. Looks like it's available here

For what?
a) Dismissing a great game before knowing about it?
or
b) Playing Syberia II?

If you liked the demo, you'll like the game.

Status : Online | Thanks. It's a lot of cursor hunting and gathering, but it is different for me, very attractive scenery and easy! The navigation and prerendered grahics remind me a bit of Riven. Actually, I'm not a big fan of click and jump, but this game is so non-threatening and just harmless fun, I really enjoyed the demo.

NICE box art.
A totally, completely well done professional game -
At $19.95 it's worth a little risk!
It's games like this that gave TAC a good name in gaming!

Some online friends I know have the game and have finished it in one sitting, not very encouraging. The main gripe was it felt rushed at the end, you don't get to do anything much with Captain Nemo except bury him and when you get in the Nautilus that's the end of the game. They was expecting the adventure to START when they got into the Nautilus, instead it ENDED there!! They were not very happy adventurers.
I was hoping to get it this week as I liked the demo, but knowing how short the game is has put me off. luckily it's being released on the 19th now in the UK, so I bought Half Life 2 instead and saved me being really disappointed!
Sorry for the negativity, but forewarned is forearmed!

However, it is only $19.95 - so it's low risk.

The $19.95 you pay (i assume US dollar?) equals £10.75 at current exchange rates here in the UK, yet the game has a £19.95 price point, a straight dollar = pound conversion again > A trend that's plagued UK customers for years.
It's a shame this game falls short of the mark after looking so promising, seems corporate pen pushers and bean counters ruin another game for the sake of lining their pockets.

| Deleted User | It's not that short, it took me about 12 hours. It's a great game, well worth the 20$, you will enjoy every minute of it. I don't mind short games, anyway.

I read the walkthrough, the game length is average.
A fine review too I might add.
I'd buy the american copy if it's cheaper. It would play fine on an english PC, a game is a game.
It's only video games you have to have the english one (PAL).

I've never bought from a U.S. online store before but a friend who buys PS2 games from the U.S. said he's now having trouble as some of the stores he used to buy from won't now send to the U.K. Take EBGAMES, if you select 'Outside the United States or Canada' for shipping, United Kingdom is not listed so I can't order from them but they have the game Yet I can See France and Germany listed so why not U.K., we are all part of the same European Union?
Probably not a good idea to order form the U.S. anyway, shipping was $26 when I chose France
When the game gets released in the U.K. I'll look more closely for a U.K. online store with a better price.

Status : Online | I just buried Nemo...and I love the game. It is a small world, easy to hold it all in your mind. It is logical and all the information you need is right there. There is a lot of pixel hunting and inventory items, but all of the stuff does great things. But like with most point and click games, I'm frustrated that I can't see the heroine in action, in third person. I love wandering wherever I choose like in Uru, and not zipping here and there like the Flash in this game. Still, with my graphics card cranked up to the max, it's beautiful, fun, relaxing and diverse.
