The Lunatics Have Taken over the Asylum!

That's right, your worst nightmare has come true, and Randy has disposed of the tyrannical Craig White--he is now safely bound and gagged in one of Blackstone's numerous torture chambers--and the revolution has begun!

Change is not always a good thing, but in this case we promise that it will be a constant improvement as we are striving to update the site on a daily basis and to provide you with information, reviews and previews that you will not find anywhere else. Like what, you ask?

Well, our Eye on Adventure, for one. Most web sites are happy to just regurgitate the news e-mails they receive from the many publishers and distributors. We will not do that. Our Eye on Adventure will be chock full of actual news and scoops that you cannot find anywhere else. You will hear it from us first because we do dig a little deeper. For example, how many of you are aware of the latest breaking news on Lee Sheldon, or the status of Tex Murphy: Polarity. Well, I know the facts (even though I cannot always name sources), and I will share them with you. All you have to do is keep your Eye on Adventure. In fact, you might want to check there right now!

Even though many believe that the adventure genre is at an all-time low, we actually have more games than ever to review. We will be covering text adventures, SCRAMM adventures, side-scrolling action adventures, children's adventures and adventure games from all over the world: Faust from Arxel in France, Traitor's Gate from Daydream in Sweden, and Gilbert Goodmate and the Mushroom of Phungoria from Crystal Software in England to name just a few … and we won't stop there. We will also be covering adventure games on the Playstation and Nintendo 64 such as Silent Hill and Zelda. And I'm still not done--how about RPGs that contain adventure elements and continued coverage of the action/adventure genre. Plus, we have tons of ideas for new articles and features coming your way! Don't let the + sign in our new title scare you away--it is just a sign that we will now be covering all forms of adventure.

What else, you ask? How about a world-exclusive interview with Roberta Williams, the first one-on-one interview since her parting with Sierra. How about the first interview with Lee Sheldon since he … oops, you need to see Eye on Adventure for that! How about the first previews anywhere on the Internet of games like Riddle of the Sphinx, Starshot, and Curly's Adventure. How about a special April Fool's edition? How about the most extensive links page on the Internet, maintained by Audrey Wells, and covering everything adventure. How about the best and most extensive new release page on the Internet, updated by Stu Yoder. How about a new Ask Mr. Bill (aka Bill Horton) column and capsule reviews. How about guest articles by Josh Mandel and others in the industry. How about a slew of new and old reviewers that will include Tom Houston, Nathan Smith, Paulo Resende, Joshua Bentley, and me to name just a few. How about the continuation of such favorites as The Dungeon of Shame and Tales from the Clearance Bin. Had enough? Well, there's even more--I just want to save some for next month!

The bottom line is if you are not reading Just Adventure, then you are missing out on a world of wonder. We will strive to comprehensively cover all aspect of adventures, we will strive to constantly improve our web graphics, and we will strive to bring you the news and reviews that the other web sites blatantly ignore (but watch how they jump on the bandwagon when adventures become popular again!). It does not matter to us if a company has 10,000 employees or 10 employees, we will still cover their product. Promise. As for now, I got me some game playing to do.
