Featured Article: Just Adventure Starts a New Adventure!

Greetings readers and newcomers! Welcome to the newly redesigned Just Adventure! In the effort to make your reading experience more streamlined and easier to manage, we gave Just Adventure a much-needed facelift and a fresh coat of paint! While some of the changes may be self explanatory, I will go into detail of the new changes to bring everyone up to speed.

First off youll notice that the front page is completely and totally different from the old Just Adventure site. In the top and bottom bars are links to respective sections such as news, forums, etc. The latest articles posted are conveniently displayed in a large graphics that cycle through the ten latest articles. The buttons at the bottom allow you to skip ahead if you wish to forgo waiting for them to cycle through.

Next to the latest articles is the latest news box, here stories will come in, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the adventure games industry, from developers and more. Clicking See more will send you to a page to see every news post made on the site.

Below the latest articles and news posts are the two sections for Latest Reviews and Walkthroughs. These sections, like the latest articles and news sections will show the latest reviews and walkthroughs posted. You can also click the See more links to see more reviews and walkthroughs posted in the past.

Below the Latest Reviews and Walkthroughs section is the Latest Forum Posts section. This is designed so that when you visit the Just Adventure site, youll be able to get a quick glimpse into what is going on the forums with latest forum posts and by whom. The best part about this section is that it will only display threads from sections that you are allowed to see from your logged in account, which leads us to our next new update!

At the top of the page you can login or register a new account. This account will be tied to the forums and to any other features well implement in the future as a one-time login system.

Clicking on any article, be it a news post or a review, will take you to the articles page, where youll notice in the upper right is a new section. Displayed with the graphic image of the article is also the Discuss in Forums link. With the new site, each time a news post or article is generated, a related thread in the forums is created. Clicking on the Discuss in Forums link will take you directly to the thread for you to post comments and thoughts!

Trying to find an article? We also updated the search function for Just Adventure to make finding the right article you are looking for. The typical search is in the upper right, while if youre looking for a more specific search, Articles section has an advanced search function. When in those sections, clicking the Advanced Options ON will reveal a menu of tickboxes that will allow you to refine your search to find what youre looking for.

The forums themselves also got an update, besides getting a graphical facelift. Those who are interested can tie in their Facebook accounts to their forum accounts, where they can substitute their profile images instead of using avatars for a more personal touch in the forums. You will also be able to like threads that will pop up on your Facebook feed, to show people what is interesting in the adventure game world! Also in that portion of the upper right is the ability to see the latest active topics all in one convenient page.

Things will constantly be looking up for Just Adventure, so keep your eyes peeled for new features and updates!
