Aspiring buccaneers get
ready, Telltale is announcing today that the next cliffhanger installment
of Tales of Monkey Island, Chapter 2: “Siege of Spinner
Cay,” will release on Thursday, August 20 from Telltale Games.
In advance of Chapter 2, Telltale is releasing five new screens
from Chapter 1: “Launch of the Screaming Narwhal.”
For those yet to discover
the twists, turns and hidden secrets of the opening chapter, “Launch
of the Screaming Narwhal,” new players are encouraged to get
on board in the next two weeks to help Guybrush escape the mysterious
Flotsam Island where the winds only blow towards the island! He
needs to escape and continue his quest to reunite with his beloved
Elaine and vanquish his nemesis LeChuck.
“Launch of the
Screaming Narwhal” has received universal acclaim for its
gameplay and story that strands Guybrush on Flotsam Island, where
in the tradition of the great old movie serials with cliffhanger
endings, Guybrush must rout an array of eccentric characters and
unravel a myriad of pirate adventures – before he can escape
the perplexing island and battle the villainous LeChuck again in
Chapter 2 “Siege of Spinner Cay.”

with Tales of Monkey Island for PC from www.telltalegames.com
and for WiiWare from the Wii Shop Channel. Telltale is planning
the second WiiWare chapter to be timed close to the PC release.
The entire five-chapter serial is available for $34.95.
Tales of Monkey Island
will unfold over five months, with each chapter raising the stakes
on Guybrush’s quest to eradicate the insidious Pox of LeChuck,
reunite with his beloved and vanquish his rival. The story deepens
with every turn building to surprising twists in the grand finale
coming this fall!

While explosively stripping
the evil pirate LeChuck of his demonic mojo, Guybrush Threepwood
inadvertently infects the entire Caribbean with the arch-fiend's
expelled voodoo, which threatens to transform buccaneers into unruly
pirate monsters. Pursued by a notorious cut-throat Pirate Hunter
and a creepy French Physician who believes that Guybrush's eerily-infected
hand holds the secret of eternal life, Threepwood sails the seven
seas in search of La Esponja Grande, a legendary sea sponge with
unparalleled voodoo exfoliating abilities. But little does Guybrush
know, his quest is part of a larger, more sinister plot, and good
