Press Release Athens, Greece - July 14, 2006 It all started on December 2004. Alkis Polyrakis, an adventure gamer from Greece, released a freeware fantasy adventure game called Other Worlds. Despite the outdated graphics, the title became instantly loved by thousands of players around the world. This made Alkis realize that no matter how much our beloved genre has changed over the years, there are still many people out there who appreciate the good old traditional values of adventure gaming: a good story, plenty of character interaction and dozens of challenging inventory puzzles. Although he never intended to make another game, all that positive feedback helped him decide to create his own adventure games company. That is how Atropos Studios was born. All of us who work for AS are more than game creators; we like to think of ourselves as game players. Adventure game players, to be exact. We are all very narrow minded people and if you ever try to change our opinion on what a good adventure game should be like, you will most certainly fail. You probably wouldn't want to hang out with us, but we are confident that you will like our games. That's because we promise to always remain loyal to the traditional values of adventure gaming; a good, solid story, characters you care about, and inventory-based puzzles that will make you proud of solving. In other words, we are going to give you the succesful ingredients that made the genre so popular in the late 80s - early 90s, in a modern package. The staff of Atropos Studios are already working on the first game, which is called Diamonds in the Rough.
