Hook is a simple puzzle game in which you must remove the nails from a 2D board.
Sounds easy, but some of the nails have curves in them that hook other nails. The blocking nails must be removed first.
If you try to remove a nail and it is blocked, the puzzle resets to the beginning. This is no big deal at first, but it means repeating a lot of work in the more advanced puzzles.
The game grows very nicely. As soon as you are comfortable with the hooking mechanism, a new mechanic is introduced. And then another. And another. By the end, the machines have grown quite complex but are readily understood.
You will not save the Universe. You will not save the world. You won't get the Princess. But you will relax and unwind from Black Friday. And for only 99¢ from Steam, it is well worth it.
